About Us

Nathan Honess is a highly-respected fitness professional originally from Portsmouth, who now resides in Newcastle with his partner Sarah.

With over fifteen years’ experience in helping people improve their health and wellbeing, his varied career has seen him work as a fitness instructor, both in gyms and on cruise ships, as well as building a large portfolio of clients in his work as a personal trainer. Besides fitness, Nathan has established himself as a public speaker and lifestyle coach, for which he has delivered mindfulness classes and talks on healthy habits in the workplace.

In 2019, Nathan launched his own annual charity event, Gorgeous Geordies, which raises money for good causes through transformational fitness stories. In 2020, Nathan became a regular presenter on Nova Radio North East 102.5fm, where he presents his Tuesday lunchtime show, ‘On the Radio with Nathan Honess’.

Continued Maintenance Work During Busy Periods Over Lockdown

My work with Nathan as of late has all been around maintaining where I am with my weight but also around my habits. Working in a hospital during the pandemic as could be imagined was busy and stressful, with a lot of times potentially falling off the wagon. While I did fall back a few times, Nathan has always been on hand on pick me back up and keep me on track. The beauty of it was none of it felt forced, it was all comfortable and on a level manner, because that's who Nathan is. The best Personal trainer the North East has to offer.

I've been working with Nathan during lockdown, I've reached all my fitness goals and now I keep up with Nathans sessions and classes to ensure that I maintain where I am at. Over the years I have built a relationship with Nathan which means that while he helps me maintain where i am at, if he see's something that we need to work on he is open and honest and professional in letting me know, and we work together to work towards that. Which I believe is what makes Nathan Honess the best. Anybody on Fitbook looking for a great personal trainer who is honest and will get you where you want to be, Nathan is your guy.

I've been working with Nathan for 7 years which I think says a lot about his service he offers. I feared lockdown was going to put a halt on what we are working on, but he easily converted these over to Zoom sessions which were really easy follow. Anybody who is on Fitbook looking for a Personal Trainer, I couldn't recommend Nathan Honess enough!

I would definitely recommend Nathan Honess, he is a credit to the fitness industry and to Fitbook. I started working with him as a beginner and everything I've learned from him is amazing. I don't see him as a Personal Trainer, I see him more as a friend who helps me with my fitness.

Personal Training - 1-2-1 and Group

I first trained with Nathan 2 years ago, am still training with him now and have never looked back. I was never one for the gym but after having my youngest daughter I had put on a lot of weight and lost a lot of confidence. After training with Nathan I lost nearly 2 stone and am probably in the best shape I've been for years. It was not just about training, he taught me new food habits, motivated me along the way, made the gym fun and enjoyable and helped me regain confidence and changed my food / exercise behaviours for good. I stills train with him now and get as much out of it as I did when I started. I would highly recommend Nathan to anyone looking for a PT. What he offers is much more than many trainers out there, and is certainly up there with one of the best things I've ever done.

I’ve Attended Personal Training Sessions, Group Fitness Classes And Various Nutrition Workshops.

A tailored personal training service working on strengths and building on weaknesses.

My 1-to-1 sessions with Nathan Honess are always challenging yet affective and the group sessions are great fun.

Nathan Is My Personal Trainer, Who Is Helping Me Get Fit And Loose Weight.

Nathan works with me to set challenging, yet realistic goals in terms of fitness, weight loss and overall wellbeing. All of which he is very knowledge. Our workouts are always great fun and I leave every session feeling like I've made real progress. Nathan has also helped me with a nutritional plan that is helping me achieve my goals. Nathan is always just a text or call away if I have any questions. I would highly recommend him.

Nathan is my personal trainer, helping me to become fitter and gain more muscle.

Nathan is a fantastic personal trainer and is helping me achieve my ongoing goals of becoming fitter and gaining more muscle. He also helps with my diet plan and any questions about health and fitness. He is knowledgeable, patient and very friendly. He is also well-informed about mindfulness and the psychological thinking behind the world of fitness. I really like how Nathan stays in regular contact with me outside of our sessions. I look up to him as a role model and would recommend him to anyone.
