Chris Hainsworth graduated with a 2:1 Bsc (HONS) Physiotherapy from The University of Manchester in 2005 and has over 15 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist.
He has worked in a range of setting, including previously in the NHS and more latterly in the private sector.
Chris has extensive experience of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and also in Occupational Health. He has worked in elite sport and was previous Lead Physiotherapist for the Malawi National Football Team. He also currently does work for the British Army as a Physiotherapist and is involved in Physical Training. Chris has a special interest in sports injuries and has previously specialised in upper limb injuries and chronic pain.
Chris uses a variety of approaches to help his clients on the road to recovery. This includes exercise prescription, hands-on treatment and soft-tissue massage where appropriate, acupuncture, Pilates and education, especially with regards to managing pain. He is qualified in acupuncture and has completed his APPI Pilates Matwork courses.
Outside of Physiotherapy, Chris is a keen runner, having sprinted to a high level as a junior and he now competes at distances ranging from 5k to the Marathon. He previously worked in selling running shoes and is keen to help any aspiring or competitive runners out there.
